Veterans Committee

The OAME Veterans Committee is dedicated to empowering veteran business owners and supporting employers of veterans. Its mission is to connect veterans with the tools, resources, and relationships they need to succeed in business and in life.

The committee serves as a bridge between veteran entrepreneurs and the organizations that can help them grow, from local business development programs to veteran-specific services tailored to their unique needs.

The current chairperson, Matthew Calhoun, is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Army and Oregon Army National Guard, with more than a decade of service in Oregon. His extensive connections within the state’s military community include relationships with business support networks and veteran service organizations.
